How Does It Work?

At the beginning of your event, I snap photos of your guests and get to work creating one-of-a-kind art for them to take home as favors.  I have honed my skills to be able to draw someone in 6-8 minutes, or roughly 10 people per hour. Since I work from a reference photo, no one has to stand awkwardly or model while I paint, but everyone is welcome to watch me work. Each portrait will be signed, professionally packaged, and displayed at my table as part of the entertainment. At the end of the event, your guests will get to take home a frame-worthy 5"X7" bespoke watercolor portrait to remember the special day forever!

My setup is fuss free: I'll bring all the fine art supplies, battery powered table lamp, and signage.  I ask that your venue provide a 6ft table, chair, and tablecloth in a dry spot away from loudspeakers.

Investment Guide

Packages start at $1800 for 3 hours of Live Illustration, plus set up/take down and all art supplies. Travel within 80 miles of my San Diego studio is also included. You will receive a customized investment guide tailored to your event after our free consultation call.

Travel Policy

Travel within 80 miles of my San Diego studio is included in the base price of each package, and I will gladly travel longer distances!  If your location is 2+ hours away I will invoice you for expenses such as additional mileage, flights, ground transportation, and lodging for me and my assistant (if applicable). I travel sensibly and will work with you to book budget-friendly options so there are no surprises.  I recommend having me arrive the day before your event to ensure timely arrival in the event of travel delays. 

Do You Have a Minimum Booking Requirement?

Yes -- I have a 3 hour minimum booking requirement in order to provide the very best service to you and your stylish guests.

However, if you are having a smaller intimate gathering (like a rehearsal dinner, birthday party, or family reunion) I'm willing to discuss accommodations for your group.

How Would You Describe Your Art Style?

My illustrations are whimsical, charming, and colorful! While the "fashion illustration" style is popular with guest portraits, I prefer to represent your favorite people the way they are: real people, real bodies. My paintings highlight their best-dressed moments without compromising their authentic shape and personal style.

How Many People Can You Illustrate Per Hour?

It takes me 6-8 minutes per person and about 15 minutes per couple.

In an hour I'm able to create around 7-10 people. I will do my absolute best to get through as many of your guests as possible. However, if I can't squeeze in everyone...(see next question)

What If I Want All My Guests Illustrated?

While I try my best to paint as many people as possible within the allotted time, it is not guaranteed that every single guest will be able to receive a portrait depending on the size of your event. However, I do offer the option to finish the illustrations from my studio and mail them all to you. This is a popular option with a reduced hourly rate and couples often include the portraits with their Thank You cards.

How Can I Book You?

Bookings are made on a first-come-first-served basis. Once I have received your inquiry, I'll email you back within 48 hours. We'll schedule a quick call to get on the same page. To secure your date, a 50% non-refundable deposit and signed agreement are required. The remaining 50% will be due 2 weeks before your event date.
